Cahir, the founder of Doran Construction, comes from a long line of skilled carpenters and contractors. His grandfather began his craft in 1924 in Buncrana, Ireland, and this tradition has been passed down through generations.
Cahir started his career working alongside his father, then apprenticed with a master carpenter specializing in fine trim carpentry with various hardwoods like maple, oak, and more. In 2008, he expanded his expertise in furniture and cabinetry at a shop in Perth, Australia. In 2013, he moved to San Francisco, where he spent a decade perfecting his craft before founding Doran Construction. He has since brought his passion and decades of experience to Sacramento, where he now lives, operates, and serves the local community.
As a small, owner-operated company, Cahir personally performs much of the work, supported by a skilled laborer and a network of trusted subcontractors. He oversees all quality control to ensure every project meets the highest standards, delivering the personal touch and attention to detail that define Doran Construction.
